Target Investment Areas

Affordable housing rental

Affordable housing:

Restoration, construction and renovation of affordable housing for rent.

Includes co-living and co-housing.

Affordable housing shall be understood as housing regulated or defined as such in national or local regulations.

The refurbishment, renovation, modernizations or improvement of assets requires that the energy rating be improved by at least one letter.

The Project may be developed on land under concession, Surface rights or similar arrangements.

Urban Development

Urban infrastructure:

Development and rehabilitation of infrastructure with socioeconomic impact

New uses for unused land for retail, business, tourism, educational and cultural purposes.

Regeneration and valorization of underutilized urban areas (brownfield and greenfield).

Investments in the construction of new long-term residences for the elderly will not be eligible. Investments in temporary housing solutions will be eligible.

Urban development:

Interventions in deteriorated areas to promote sustainable urban spaces.

Port-City integration projects

(Investments in ports of general interest (Ports of General Interest) will be limited to Port-City integration).

Health and social infrastructures:

Constructions and updates of hospitals, health and medical care centers.

Addressing health inequities and improvement of regional development.

Educational infrastructure:

Construction and improvement of schools, residences, universities and campuses.

Safety and resilience:

Investments in equipment and facilities for advanced safety measures against earthquakes, health emergencies, meteorological phenomena and forest fires.

Urban mobility

Sustainable infrastructure such as subways, streetcars and clean mass transit.

Renewal of service fleets, recharging infrastructure, car sharing and connected mobility for tourism.

Investments in ports of general interest (Ports of General Interest) will be limited to Port-City integration.

Waste management

Construction and updating of infrastructures such as clean points, transfer stations, treatment plants and landfills.

Water supply and sanitation

Infrastructures to improve efficiency, hydraulic and energy savings.

Service safety and urban wastewater treatment.

Energy efficiency and digitalization

Smart energy management (smart energy management digitalization).

District heating, cogeneration, storage, heat pumps, biomass and renewable energies in public and private buildings

Sustainable Tourism

Investing in sustainable tourism does not have to take place in an urban area.

Tourist lodging:

Creation, renovation (remodeling/refurbishment), modernization and improvement of accommodation facilities/premises, including, for example, hotels, restaurants, Bed & Breakfasts, rural houses, wellness centers, campsites and resorts.

Tourism infrastructure:

Creation, renovation, modernization and improvement of tourism infrastructure, including, for example, cultural and tourism heritage sites, both private and public, parks, gardens, leisure parks, sports facilities, mountain tourism facilities (cable cars, artificial snow and water storage reservoirs, etc.) and mountain sports facilities.

Local economy with a tourism component:

investments to support local activities, arts, crafts and industries (such as fashion, luxury, gastronomy), investments to promote "conscious and sustainable" tourism, investments aimed at making emerging tourist destinations more attractive.

Personnel linked to tourism:

Investment in digitization projects and/or processes and training / skills upgrading / retraining of related personnel (e.g., investments related to fiber optics, investments for the digitization of products/services, etc.). Actions that promote the provision of digital services and improve their efficiency through smart development models.
